AVON its more matte than mac
This week I have being trying out the 5 new shades to the Avon Perfectly Matte range, and I have to say I am pretty impressed. Usually when you think of matte lips you think of that drying and chapped feeling that they can give, but the Avon ones are totally different.
The formula is infused with matte powders, and not coated in them, so you get the matte look without the drying feeling. I love how they leave my lips feeling like I am wearing a normal lipstick, but look like a matte – the best of both worlds.
The new shades that have been added are perfect for summer, with everything from beautiful bright oranges, to hot plums and 90s nudes – there is truly a shade for everyone and every occasion.
Marvelous Mocha is a true 90s warm toned brown and will look gorgeous on many skin tones, although it can make teeth look a little yellower if they are stained, so if like me you have slightly dull teeth this is something to beware of.
Ideal Lilac is surprisingly one of my favourites with its cool base and perfectly purple tone; it’s perfect for Spring and especially wedding season.
Hot Plum is a shade that is right up my street as I love cool toned berry colours, and think they suit any skin tone from the palest to the most beautiful dark tones. This is brighter berry so it’s great for summer time.
Absolute Coral is the ultimate summer shade, a bright and bold orange coral shade that looks amazing on darker skin tones – it’s certainly a shade to get you noticed for all the right reasons.
Mauve Matters is one of the more wearable shades and is a beautiful dusky pink yet not too dusky, it’s brighter and deeper and one I can see myself wearing on a day-to-day basis.
I love the feel of these lipsticks and how I can wear them for hours without my lips becoming chapped or looking flakey. The formula is certainly a winner and a great mix between matte and cream.
